Dashboard — the Lighter home screen
You log in, and the first thing you see is the Dashboard. Not a menu, not forty unlabelled buttons, not "choose a module" — just an honest answer to the one question already in your head: "so how is my traffic doing right now?" Green or red, how many clicks, how much hit the till, and how much of it is actually yours.
The Dashboard changes nothing and breaks nothing — it only shows. It's a pure stats window: poke the dates, flip the metrics, read the tops. There's nothing here to ruin, so settle in, kitten.
What this screen is
The Dashboard is your home screen after login (/app/). It gathers stats across all your traffic for the period you pick and lays them out in four blocks, top to bottom: KPIs (number tiles), the trend chart, the top lists (geos and campaigns), and recent conversions. Everything you see is read-only; you can't edit a campaign or a lead from here (those have their own screens).
Top bar: period and scope
Above the tiles sits the bar that controls what gets counted.
Date range (left). Click the date pill and a preset popover opens:
- Today — from midnight to now.
- Yesterday — the whole previous day.
- 7 days — the last week.
- This month — from the 1st through today.
- Custom — pick your own from/to in the calendar.
The moment you change the range, the Dashboard re-fetches everything — tiles, chart, tops and recent conversions — for the new period. No "apply" button; the recount happens instantly.
Scope My / Team (right). The My / Team toggle is admins only. My shows stats for your own campaigns; Team shows the whole team's campaigns together. If you're not on a team or not an admin, the toggle simply isn't there — that's expected.
KPI row: nine tiles
This is the heart of the screen — a row of tiles with the key numbers for the period. Each tile shows a value and, beneath it, a delta chip: how much it rose or fell versus the previous equal-length period (pick 7 days → compared against the prior 7 days).
| Tile | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Clicks / Unique | Total clicks and how many were unique (+ unique %). |
| Leads | Valid conversions for the period. |
| Approved | Confirmed conversions + approve %. |
| Revenue | Till from approved leads, in the tracker's currency. |
| Spend | Traffic cost for the period. |
| Profit | Revenue minus spend. Colour by sign: green = plus, red = minus. |
| ROI | Return on investment. Colour is driven by the metric itself (green / red / amber). |
| EPC | Earnings per click. |
| CR | Conversion rate, click → lead. |
The colours aren't our invention. Green (profit / up), red (loss / down), amber (breakeven / hold) come straight from the API — the tracker itself says what colour your till is. We only display it; we never recompute it.
Reading the delta chip (the important gotchas). The delta compares the current period to the previous equal one, and it has three special cases:
- ∞ or "new" — when the previous period was near zero and now there's traffic. Not a bug, not "infinite growth" — an honest "there was nothing before, there is now".
- > 999% — a giant jump is not printed as a raw number (no "↑1002700%"); it caps at ">999%". By design.
- No chip at all — when both this period and the last were zero. Nothing to compare, so nothing to show.
The trend chart
Below the KPIs sits the trend chart: how your chosen metric behaved inside the period.
- Metric toggles. Above the chart are the buttons Clicks · Leads · Revenue · Profit · ROI. Tap one and the line, its colour, the axis and the value format redraw instantly (Profit dipping below zero is normal).
- Grouping. If the range is longer than a couple of days, points are grouped by date; if a single day is selected, by hour. The tracker decides — no manual switch.
- Collapse. A chevron in the panel corner folds the chart away — if you only want numbers and tops, tuck it out of the way.
Tops: geos and campaigns
Under the chart are two compact "top" panels for the period.
- Top geos — the top 5 countries by traffic: where your people come from.
- Top campaigns — a mini-grid of your best campaigns: name, clicks, CR, EPC, approved, profit and ROI (same till colour). Clicking a row opens that campaign's editor — a handy jump straight from the overview into editing.
Recent conversions
The recent conversions widget — fresh leads, newest first: who, from where, status, amount. A quick pulse: "dripping or dead quiet". Full lead breakdowns, filters and status history live on the Conversions screen.
Refresh: manual and auto
The Dashboard doesn't tick on its own — you own the refresh.
- ↻ (refresh) — the manual button: hit it and everything re-fetches for the current period.
- Auto — the auto-refresh toggle: off / 30s / 60s. It's off by default, and your choice is remembered. The Dashboard is the most natural place to leave auto-refresh on: park it on a second monitor at 30s and watch the till drip.
The plan quota strip
Somewhere on screen is a plan quota strip from your subscription: how many of your allowed campaigns are in use (e.g. "8/10 campaigns") and your subscription status if it's active, plus a soft upgrade hint when you hit the ceiling. Just a gauge of how many more you can create.
Two empty states (don't mix them up)
When there are no numbers, the Dashboard shows one of two different empty states — and they mean fundamentally different things:
- No campaigns at all. A title and a "Create your first campaign" button that leads to the Campaigns screen. This is starting from scratch: first you need a campaign, then traffic appears.
- Campaigns exist, but no traffic in the period. The title "No traffic in this period" and a date hint — with no create button. There's nothing to create; this window is just quiet. Change the range (say, to "7 days") and the numbers come back.
On mobile
On a phone the Dashboard doesn't get cropped, it re-stacks: KPI tiles line up two per row, the chart and tops flow top to bottom, and navigation moves to a bottom tab bar under your thumb. Same numbers, same till colour — just in a column.
